副研究员，博士生导师。华中科技大学与美国亚利桑那大学联合培养博士，澳大利亚纽卡斯尔大学客座研究员，主要研究方向为语料库语言学、学术英语、会议口译。在Lingua, Journal of Quantitative Linguistics, Digital Scholarship in the Humanities, Scientometrics, Learned Publishing, Journal of Linguistics, Australian Journal of Linguistics, Library Hitech等SSCI期刊上以第一/通讯作者发表论文十余篇。主持教育部人文社科项目一项，参与国家社科项目2项。曾获海峡两岸口译大赛湖北省冠军、华中大区冠军、全球总决赛二等奖（中国大陆选手第二名），中译杯全国口译大赛华中区季军。人事部（CATTI）及上海高级口译认证口译员。    
在硅谷武汉创业论坛、武网公开赛、世界超级计算机峰会、中欧低碳城市峰会、武汉军运会申办签约仪式等数十场国际会议中担任交、同传译员，服务对象包括我省及中南各省领导、非洲及东盟国家元首、英美驻华使节、文艺界明星如李娜、撒贝宁、莎拉波娃、威廉姆斯姐妹等。    
Dr. Haoran Zhu is Associate Research Professor in Applied Linguistics at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. His research interests are in corpus linguistics, quantitative linguistics, and computational social sciences. His recent works are devoted to information-theoretic approach to linguistics, lexical/syntactic complexity, and linguistic change and variation. He has published extensively in SSCI/AHCI journals such as Lingua, Journal of Quantitative Linguistics, Digital Scholarship in the Humanities, and Scientometrics.
